Police Costing And Infrastructure Concerns Raised By Red Lake Mayor

The Mayor of Red Lake believes some positive headway was made at the Association of Municipalities of Ontario Conference.

Phil Vinet met with a handful of provincial Ministers as well as opposition members last week in Ottawa.

Vinet says he raised concerns surrounding police costs as well as the need to replace aging infrastructure.

In terms of policing, Vinet says the rate is going down, but stresses they are still paying too much.

Vinet says northern leaders all expressed a need for more input on provincial decisions.
