Staying safe on the internet.
That was the focus of a presentation by local police to parents at New Prospect School in Dryden.
Constable Erin Huckell with the Dryden Provincial Police and Community Service Officer Kevin Hildebrand with the Dryden Police Service encourage parents to play a part in their child’s internet activity.
This includes keeping the computer in an open space, not in a bedroom or basement
Hildebrand and Huckell say that if the child has Facebook, update the privacy settings so strangers can’t view their entire profile.
