Provincial police says officers will be out in full force over the Civic Holiday weekend.
In addition to patrolling roadways, the OPP say the marine unit will be on the waterways checking boats for
life-jackets or personal flotation devices.
Police will also be looking for impaired, aggressive and distracted drivers.
OPP are also enforcing the “Move Over Law”.
Sergeant Shelley Garr says if you’re near an emergency vehicle, pull over or move over to the other lane.
Garr says the fine for not doing so is anywhere from $400 to $1,200, and three demerit points upon conviction.

Police Hope You Have A Safe Long Weekend
