A suspicious death in Pikangikum this week remains under investigation by the Ontario Provincial Police and the Pikangikum Police.
On Monday officers, and members of the Pikangikum Peacekeepers, were called to a home on Fishhouse Road, where one person was located and taken to the nursing station where they were later pronounced deceased.
No date has been set but a post-mortem examination will take place at the Centre of Forensic Science in Toronto to confirm both the cause of death and the identity of the victim.
Investigators say they do not believe there is an imminent threat to public safety.
