The Dryden Police Service is getting a badly needed cruiser.
The Police Services Board has approved the purchase of a 2011 Chevy Tahoe at a cost of roughly $36,000.
The cruiser was included in the 2011 Budget.
The vehicle will replace a 2006 Dodge Charger, which currently shows over 200,000 kilometres on the odometer.
The Police Board is also putting a second vehicle up on the market.
Acting Chief Kevin Glenister is hoping to donate the vehicle to the Dryden Fire Service for Information Officer Regan Breeze.
