Police Seize Illegal Smokes

OPP stopped a vehicle on Highway 17 east of Marathon on the weekend and officers found 160,000 contraband cigarettes.
50-year-old Carl Fontaine of Fort Alexander, Manitoba was charged with possession of unmarked tobacco and intent to sell.
The Thunder Bay Chronicle Journal reports the man driving the car is the same person who was charged last August for similar offences.
In that case, OPP found 910,000 illegal cigarettes in a vehicle near White Lake Provincial Park.
