Police Warn Residents To Leave Political Signs Alone

Vandalizing political signs may be funny to mischief makers, but police across the region stress it’s a crime that comes with stiff punishment.

Those caught vandalizing or removing election signs can face penalties that will seriously hit their pocketbook or even result in jail time.

The maximum amount someone could pay is $5,000.

With only one day left before the federal election, police are asking the public to keep an eye out for those vandalizing election signs, and to report them to their local detachment.
