The Kenora riding has been identified as one of the most unpredictable races to watch in Ontario.
That’s according to Wilfrid Laurier University political scientist Barry Kay.
The riding is the only one in northern Ontario picked out.
Kay believes it will come down to the Conservatives and the NDP, stating the NDP is running former Ontario party leader Howard Hampton.
He says he assumes that would position them favourably.
Kay adds Greg Rickford is another strong option as he has held the riding since 2008 and has been an outspoken opponent of the long gun registry.
The Liberals did well in the remote north last election, but Kay doesn’t mention if they can gain seats with former Indian Affairs Minister Bob Nault back in the fold.
Ember McKillop of the Green party is the other candidate.
