An increased amount of pollen on area boreal lakes could
help increase the production of harvestable sport fish,
according to a recent University of Albera study.
Biological Researcher Mark Graham found plankton
responded strongly to additions of pollen, creating more
food for foraging fish.
Graham says pollen is an important linkage between
terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems in Northern
environments.
