Portable Rink Concerns City

Dryden Mayor Craig Nuttall is asking for an open line of communication with Neighbourhood Legacy.
Nuttall is upset that the group hasn’t consulted the City on fundraising plans for a portable skating rink.
He says he doesn’t want the City to be saddled with maintaining the rink and also has concerns about where it will go and where it will be stored.
Nuttall says Council hasn’t approved the project and he wants to be better informed on the initiative.
Neighourhood Legacy has indicated the volunteers would take care of the rink but Nuttall believes it will end up in the City’s hands instead.
The group has been trying to secure funds to purchase and set up the rink.
Nuttall made the comments at last Friday’s Dryden Police Services Board meeting.
