A new campaign to help area youth exploit the Skilled Trades field
has been well received.
The Cresive Corporation has wrapped up a series of public forums
drumming up support for the Non-Traditional Trades field.
Special Projects Coordinator Vicki Scherban says they have found a need
to enhance training opportunities and establish a curriculum for youth.
Scherban says the Skilled Trades and Technology field is growing and she
believes it can help keep more youth in the Region.
She adds 17% of High School students drop-out prior to
graduation and she states the Non-Traditional Trades area has been untapped
in this District.
