Local reports show that nearly 300 people packed the Cedar Bay Cozy Cabin for the Sioux Lookout hunt, while the Hudson Fire Hall saw over 100 kids for their FunFest.
The Pro Kids program in Sioux Lookout was just named one of the recipients of the 2026 Child Poverty Reduction funding, ensuring that more local children can access sports and recreation this summer.
Excitement is building for the Ear Falls Fire Fighter Ball happening this Saturday, April 18. This is the town’s premier social event of the spring, raising vital funds for local equipment while giving everyone a reason to dress up and dance. The Dryden Recreation Centre has officially opened registration for the 2026 Dryden Hockey School. Local business sponsors have stepped up this year to provide several “full-ride” scholarships for the hockey school, ensuring that any local child who wants to hit the ice this August can do so regardless of cost.
