The Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association wants to set up a regional development authority to help rebuild the local economy.
N.O.M.A. released a report called Enhancing the Economy of Northwestern Ontario this week, and the main recommendation is the creation of a regional authority.
President of N.O.M.A. Michael Power says the population of the region has been shrinking and unless municipal politicians do something, the situation will only get worse.
