Power Rates Expected to Jump

N-D-P leader Howard Hampton says consumers will be paying twice as much for electricity when the hydro market is privitized in the spring.
The Kenora-Rainy River M-P-P says generation, transmission, distribution, and marketing companies will be looking to turn a profit, which will have an impact for homeowners in the province.
The energy watchdog Energy Probe predicts power rates will jump up at least 20-per cent.
