Ontario’s Electrical Safety Authority wants to help you plan a successful rennovation.
The agency, together with interior design expert Kimberley Seldon, have just launched Power Your Reno – a campaign highlighting the hidden electrical considerations to help you plan up front and avoid a bigger price to pay down the road.
Seldon says only 51 per cent of Ontarians are aware of the legal requirement to hire a Licensed Electrical Contractor, noting the program has an aesthetic aspect to it as well.
Their website, she says, provides the information you need to protect yourself, along with great tips for rennovating your kitchen, bathroom, and other rooms in your home. (Photo provided)
