Premier Promising Changes

Some help may be on the way for municipalities struggling to offset the cost of improving roads that serve as links to the provincial highway system.
Speaking to delegates attending the Ontario Good Roads Conference in Toronto, Premier Kathleen Wynne says she’s looking at using an existing transportation fund to offset those costs.
But Wynne says she’d also like some federal support with that work.
Wynne says concerns from area municipalities prompted her to seek a review of the Move Ontario Forward fund.
She also committed to reforms to the provincial land tax program hat could be in place by the end of the year.
