The biggest consultation in Ontario’s history, according to Premier Ford.
The sex-ed consultation undertaken by the Conservatives is complete and now the government is going to look at every response.
“Thirty-five thousand responses,” according to Premier Ford.
In a press conference, Ford seemed to imply that the results may have been skewed when “certain groups flooded it right at the beginning.”
One of the most controversial moves the Ford government has made so far in it’s mandate is repealing the 2015 Liberal sex-ed curriculum.
Ford has long maintained it had to be repealed because the Liberals only consulted “1700 people.”
The planned 2015 sex-ed plan was repealed and replaced with a curriculum from 1998, which didn’t include transgender rights, LGBTQ rights or consent.
Ford says his team is “going to review everything and make a decision.”
He added that he has “all the confidence in the world in the Minister of Education.”
