Premier Reconfirms Committment To Bring In Syrian Refugees

The provincial government is going ahead with plans to bring in at least 10,000 Syrian refugees.

Premier Kathleen Wynne feels it’s still the right thing to do.

Wynne says their goal is to bring the refugees to Ontario in a safe way with proper security measures in place.

She notes there are still a lot of details to be worked out including language services and housing for the refugees.

Wynne adds she expects to work closely with the federal government to ensure the refugees are properly screened.
