Preparing for a Flu Pandemic

Health experts believe a flu pandemic is imminent.
The Northwestern Health Unit is working with fire, ambulance and
police personnel to control such an outbreak.
Medical Officer of Health Dr. Pete Sarsfield says it’s difficult to
pinpoint exactly when a full-scale pandemic will hit.
However, Sarsfield says an outbreak will likely happen sooner rather than later.
He adds while the perfect vaccine won’t be ready to a pandemic, local
residents are urged to get a yearly flu shot.
