A call has been put out to retired Registered and Practical Nurses in the City of Dryden to help with Princess Court’s Rapid Antigen Testing program.
In an effort to open up to general visitors and essential care givers, the long-term care home will now use the program to test visitors on site for COVID-19.
Administrator Patrick Berrey explains what retired nurses would be expected to help with.
“Anyone who wishes to assist us would be meeting visitors at our front entrance and administering the rapid antigen test, then doing the lab work on the test so that we can determine whether or not if the individual is negative. Once that’s been determined, should they be negative we then proceed to the screening procedures.”
Registration does not have to be in effect and anyone interested can contact Princess Court’s Director of Care, Cindy Aaviku at 807-223-4600 ext. 258 to discuss further.
