Dryden Council has been forced to scale back the upgrades to the
gateway area near the underpass.
The project is half a million dollars over budget thanks to
miscalculations by the engineering firm hired by the City.
Director of Engineering Brad Johns says he continues to negotiate the
final price with a Thunder Bay contractor.

Johns says the project now consists of a granite sign near 7-11, a
viewing node and sidewalk near the Chalet Inn and some lane widening.
