Progress Appears to be Made in Atikokan

The company interested in purchasing the idled Fibratech mill in Atikokan will be in a Toronto courtroom on October 23rd.
The receiver and the interested party will be looking to resolve the purchase of Fibratech’s assets.
The court date follows months of negotiations between the group looking to purchase the particle board operation and the receiver.
One of the main obstacles in the way of the purchase going forward was unpaid property taxes, however Atikokan Mayor Dennis Brown states back taxes will now be dealt with as a separate matter.
