Proper Use of 9-1-1 Service

Dryden Police are issuing a warning after possible danger was avoided early this week.
The Dryden Police service was inundated with calls on Tuesday regarding the power outage and brownout.
Police and fire crews spent a majority of the day responding to serious 911 calls during the outage, however the lines were tied up from callers wanting informaton regarding the power outage.
Police say this could have compromised their ability to handle the more serious calls.
The 911 system is meant for emergency calls only including danger to life and property, as well as fires, crimes and medical emergencies.
Anyone with questions regarding Hydro service should contact Hydro One. (1-888-664-9376)
