Proposed Changes to Property Taxes

The Provincial Government is poised to introduce Legislation in the
Fall that will change property taxes in Unincorporated areas in the North.
The move would create one fair and consistent property assessment
system for territories outside the school board boundaries.
Dryden Mayor Anne Krassilowsky says the current system doesn’t work.
All revenue generated from the land tax reform will be re-invested in
the North.
