Some changes to fishing regulation in Minnesota border waters are being proposed.
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources wants a slot size of walleye similar to the rules for its inland lakes.
Area fisheries Supervisor Edie Everts says it impacts mostly lakes bordering with Quetico Provincial Park.
Everts adds majority of the regulations include that you can only have one over the legal size, which is about 20 inches.
Everts says they’re planning to have the new rules in place for next summer.
