Protest For Mercury Cleanup Outside Dryden Mill

Residents of Grassy Narrows First Nation along with others are holding a silent protest today near the Dryden Domtar Mill.

The protest is in regards to mercury contamination that remains in the water of their community.

Grassy Narrows Resident Chrissy Isaacs was there and she says they want to see more action from the provincial government for the clean up and for Domtar to ensure they have proper safety procedures in place.

Isaacs also says it is water day so they are praying for the water, the land and for the people.

She is also concerned by what other communities could be affected by the mercury that are down the river from the mill.
