A Dryden-based facility will become an official testing site for the Ministry of Environment.
Starting next month, Water Plant Operators will be able to take courses at the new Training Centre.
Program Co-ordinator Denis Nault says it will help communities deal with strict new standards mandated by the Province and the program will cut down on travel costs.
Nault says 16 people are registered for the first session and when all is said and done, some 250 participants are expected to receive training.
