Ontario is good for power for the next 18 months.
That’s according to the Independent Electricity System Operator’s latest outlook.
It estimates 2,400 megawatts of new generation from wind, solar, hydro and biomass projects being connected to the grid between now and February 2016.
That includes power from Ontario Power Generation’s Atikokan plant which is expected to go back on-line later this month after being converted to burn biomass.
