Province Hoping To Reach Deal With Corrections Officers Before Sunday Deadline

Michael Gravelle says the province remains hopeful a deal can be reached with the union representing correctional officers before next week.
The Thunder Bay MPP isn’t saying how the province will act in the event of a strike, but notes it’s not too late to go back to the bargaining table.
As of now, talks aren’t planned for this week, but that’s not to say they can’t happen before Sunday’s strike deadline.
Gravelle admits the clock is ticking on reaching an agreement but stresses the Wynne government is committed to the collective bargaining process.
