The Provincial Government is helping health care research and innovation in the North by investing $800,000.
Half-a-million dollars in Northern Ontario Heritage funding has been earmarked to create ‘Innovation Initiatives Ontario North’.
The new body will focus on 3-main economic diversification areas, bioproducts-bioenergy, biomedical-health care and environmental-mining.
The Liberals are also spending $300,000 to help a Thunder Bay area business work on prostate and breast cancer research.
