The Ontario government is helping in the field of stem cell research.
It’s investing over $3-million to establish the Ontario Institute for Regenerative Medicine.
The Institute aims to draw world-class researchers to conduct research on stem cells, as well as identify new treatments for a wide variety of diseases, including cancer, diabetes and heart and lung disease.
The Institute is a partnership between the Ontario Stem Cell Initiative and the Centre for Commercialization of Regenerative Medicine.
