The squeaky wheel gets the grease!
The Province has decided to exempt drivers operating on winter ice roads from driving time restrictions.
The issue was raised last week by Kenora-Rainy River MPP Howard Hampton.
Hampton stated the proposed move was unfair for Northern drivers.
The Province will immediately issue permits for transports based on the Manitoba model, allowing trucks to operate 105 hours per week while on ice roads.
