Province Not Ordering OEB To List Cap And Trade Costs

Ontario’s Premier isn’t forcing cap and trade costs to be listed on monthly energy bills.

Kathleen Wynne says the government won’t order the Ontario Energy Board to list those charges separately.

She says the province hasn’t tried to hide how much anti-climate change measures will cost you.

Wynne says they have been very transparent about the extra $4 on monthly hydro bills.

The province’s auditor general found 89% of natural gas ratepayers want the OEB to disclose the associated costs.
