The provincial government is preparing for the start of winter road construction.
The allocations for the coming year haven’t been released but last year Ontario spent $4.5-million on regional roads.
That amount was matched by the Federal government.
The province indicates real work should begin January, weather permitting.
Minister of Northern Development and Mines Michael Gravelle says real work will begin in January, weather permitting.
Gravelle adds the longer the roads are open, the better, in terms of getting goods to the communities.
