A number of remote communities in the far north are getting some funding from the province for economic development.
The Whitefeather Forest Management Authority is getting $50,000 to identify and market forest products from the timber they harvest near Pikangikum.
Meanwhile, the Landsdown House First Nation is getting just over $44,000 for a development plan dealing with the impacts of the Ring of Fire.
