After much consultation, the provincial government is doing a re-think on it’s proposed Municipal Land Transfer Tax.
Municipal Affairs and Housing Minister Ted McMeekin says there doesn’t seem to be a lot of support for such taxation powers.
McMeekin drew the ire of the NDP for making the announcement during Question Period.
They argue ministry announcement’s are supposed to be made outside the Legislature.
