Province Still Can’t Provide Date Of Stage 3

It may be a sign northwestern Ontario and other regions may be one step closer to moving to the next phase of reopening.

The farming communities of Kingsville and Leamington, the final two communities waiting, are being allowed to move to Stage 2.

Health Minister Christine Elliott says health officials are now actively looking at the data and looking to move into Stage 3 of reopening as soon as they possibly can.

Elliott says she still can’t provide a firm date when certain areas can advance to the next stage.

“We are fortunate we haven’t seen huge outbreaks and I think that’s very good news. We had 154 cases (Monday). From yesterday the numbers have been quite low relatively speaking.”

There were no new deaths on Monday.
