Provincial Funding for Crime Stoppers

Over $20,000 in provincial funding is being spent on improving the Crime Stoppers tips program.
It will go towards the after hours hotline, which collects tips from the 39 Crime Stoppers groups from across the province.
Ontario President Fred Hicks says the Northwest program is quite unique and the program tries to reach all walks of life.
The phone line opens at 4:30 and collects tips from all the provincial agencies.
The funding will allow the programs to continue for another year.
