The opposition at Queen’s Park continues to ask questions about the state of winter road maintenance.
PC critic Michael Harris says a total of four contracts have now been cancelled due to poor performance, including the ones for Kenora, Sudbury, Ottawa and now Niagara.
However, Transportation Minister Steve Del Duca is confident standards will be met this winter.
Del Duca adds that more equipment will be on the highways this winter and they will also be using more anti-icing liquid where appropriate.
