A spokesperson with the Northwestern Ontario Associated Chambers of Commerce is taking a wait and see approach to a Ford government plan to create a ministry that will focus on reducing red tape and regulations for businesses.
Charla Robinson points to governments of all political stripes, for the last 20-years, claiming they’d reduce red tape.
However, Robinson says unfortunately what they have seen is one ministry being removed and replaced by another two or three.
Robinson says she’s hopeful that if the PC government goes ahead with the move that it will make Ontario more competitive.
