The Treaty Three Police Service and its officers remain at a contract impasse.
The last deal expired in March of 2014.
Sharon DeSousa is with the Public Service Alliance of Canada and says they want the provisions of their previous contract restored, when the officers were given wage parity with the OPP.
She says officers weren’t paid the rate and the Police Service reneged on the negotiated collective agreement.
Earlier this week, officers with the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service received an arbitration award that gives them wage parity with first nations constables with the OPP.
DeSousa is hoping that will come into play in future talks.
