The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board is lobbying the Province for more money to help students at risk.
The McGuinty Government recently handed out an additional $65 million for the Learning Opportunities Grant, with almost all of the money going to Southern Ontario Boards.
Superintendent of Finance Dean Carrie says they didn’t take into consideration aboriginal students.
Carrie says the received the equivalent of about $2 per pupil while the Toronto Board received $106.
