Public Board Monitoring Cyberbullying

The Federal government has an ally in its recent crackdown on cyberbullying.
Keewatin-Patricia District School Board Director of Education Sean Monteith says the Board is more then ready to enact its powers to end the damaging practise.
Monteith says the Board has disciplinary powers to act if a student is bullied on-line after school hours.
The Conservative government introduced measures to curb cyber-bullying attacks this week on Parliament Hill.
Monteith says they have been working community partners to address the issue and find possible solutions.
He notes on-line bullying needs constant attention and vigilance 24-hours a day.
Monteith notes the Board hasn’t seen an increase in complaints since students were handed an I-pad or netbook at school.
