Public Comment Now Being Accepted On New Gold’s Open-Pit Mine

Public comment is now being accepted on a federal environmental assessment of New Gold’s planned open-pit gold mine north of Barwick.
The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency is conducting the review.
It’s looking at such things as potential impacts, proposed mitigation measures and a follow up program.
Comments to the agency must be submitted by November 8th.
