Public School Board Anticipating Stable Budget

The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board has an aggressive capital plan for 2017-2018.

The anchor project is the $14-million Sioux North High School.

Assistant Superintendent of Business Kathleen O’Flaherty says $2.4-million has been earmarked for child care renovations in area schools.

O’Flaherty says they also have plans for various renovations and three new roofing projects.

She adds the budget for next year is stable and enrolment is expected to increase by 2.1%.
