New trustees with the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board don’t know how much they will be getting paid yet.
Trustees have voted on a new honorarium but the vote ended in a tie, defeating the motion.
Director of Education Sean Monteith says theoretically trustees salaries are frozen, but they are looking at possible enhancements.
There was a proposal to pay trustees $50 a meeting for attending the committee meetings, but the resolution did not go through.
Currently trustee salaries are frozen at $5,900 a year.
