It’s taken five years, but full day kindergarten programs have now been rolled out across the region.
Caryl Hron is a Superintendent of Education with the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board and believes classes have been very successful.
Hron says the public school board currently offers 25 full day programs at all 16 of it’s elementary schools.
She adds 92 % of students who graduate from senior kindergarten in the region are able to read.
