There will be several familiar faces missing from area schools next school year.
The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board says 36-staff are retiring once exams are done.
Director of Education Jack McMaster says they are losing a lot of knowledge.
McMaster says the Board hasn’t had that kind of number in the past.
He notes some staff have worked beyond their retirement year.
McMaster also attributes the on-going dispute between teachers and the Province as well as possible changes to pensions.
The Board has honoured its retiring staff as well as those who have provided 25-years of service.
