Public School Board Skating Races Set For Wednesday

The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board skating races take centre stage Wednesday at the Dryden Memorial Arena.
Hundreds of kids will compete in various races and relays.
Organizer Caley Boyd says the event does have a history.
Boyd says her step-father Bill Salonen ran the race for 25-years.
It went to the wayside for several years before making a brief return in 2012.
Boyd stresses it’s her goal to return it to its former glory.
The day also features a staff versus student hockey game at 1 o’clock.
The races start at 9:00am and Boyd says it’s a chance for kids of all skill levels to get together and have fun.
