The closures at Quetico Provincial Park are being extended another week.
A notice says park officials are now looking at August 8th on the potential of having the park reopened.
The park’s Dawson Trail Campground, day-use areas, backcountry and backcountry entry stations have been closed since the beginning of the month because of wildland fires.
Park officials have been assessing the situation on a week-by-week basis.
There are still four active fires within the park, including two large ones that have consumed over 67,000 hectares.
The park has been contacting park permit holders to offer them refunds or reservation changes at no additional cost.
